Because of Simon Pegg, and he's blink-and-you-missed-it there. But, it wasn't so bad as I was bracing for! Don't get me wrong, the female characters are those of a Kripke show, as in they take a back seat to the decidedly less interesting male ones, and it starts with a blatant fridging purely for manpain. Having said that, it's very watchable (mostly because of the cast), and the characters, even the minor ones, have enough layers to avoid being uninteresting. Will cautiously try a second season if it gets made.
Anyone watching season 3? Because that thing David did last season, that made us go 'fuck it, I'm done, they'll never deal with this decently' last season? They're dealing with it rather decently. But, as always, and totally unrelated, needs more Clark.

Does this remind you of Tokio Babylon? Because it does to me, a whole lot. I'm already waiting for the in-universe shipping, because we (audience) know this is Hannibal, and that he's basically almost-stalking Will to further fuck with his mind and sanity, mostly for the EVULZ, but the other characters don't, so I'm waiting for anyone to point out Hannibal seems quite taken with Will, even in a friendly sense, so I can die laughing.
Was I the only one? Just curious.
Feb. 13th, 2013 08:23 pmI've been re-watching Fringe Season Two, and it reminded me how, back in the day, I kinda shipped September/Peter a whole lot after watching "August" and "Peter". Come on, after all, September's words about Peter ('he's important', 'he has to live') are almost an echo of August's words about Christine.
This, plus the fact that every bloke on the show seemed to have a mancrush on Peter at some point (Nick, Lincoln, even Broyles at times) sealed the deal in my "not have enough crack pairings yet, nope" mind.
So, any of you saw it too?

Edited to add my own thoughts (not part of the original reddit call for action): And if you do not feel like taking a total break and perhaps want just a trial separation or couple's counseling, then perhaps consider Black March Lite 2.0 = spend, but spend money on those content creators and independent retailers who came out against SOPA/PIPA. And tell them why you're buying their products in March. There are many of them.
And for those who favor the more targeted boycott, you can find info here. But no matter which, you can participate and you can tailor your level of participation. We have the tools, the will and the strength to take a stand.

With the continuing campaigns for internet-censoring litigation such as SOPA and PIPA, and the closure of sites like Megaupload under allegations of 'piracy' and 'conspiracy' the time has come to take a stand against music, film, and media companies' lobbyists.
The only way is to hit them where it hurts.
Their profit margins.
March 2012 is the end of the First Quarter in economic reports world wide.
Do not buy a single record. Do not download a single song, legally or illegally. Do not go to see a single film in cinemas, or download a copy. Do not buy a DVD in the stores. Do not buy a videogame. Do not buy a single book or magazine.
Wait the four weeks to buy them in April: see a film later, etc... Holding out for just four weeks, maximum, will leave a gaping hole in media companies profits for the first quarter, an economic hit which will in turn be observed by governments world wide as stocks and shares will blip from a large enough loss of incomes. This action will give a statement of intent:
"We will not tolerate the Media Industries' lobbying for legislation that will censor the internet."
